This 26-song set from an '07 gig not only captures why fans adore their
personable, chatty Dave Matthews, but it's also an excuse to geek out to
Tim Reynolds' fretwork, which is reminiscent of guitar virtuoso Leo Kottke's
style. With his help, DMB faves like ''Crash Into Me'' shine with a
streamlined treatment. Yes, Dave's strained homage to Neil Young's ''Down
by the River'' is almost comically overwrought but that's a small
quibble. Live at Radio City makes you wish you were there, and is a healthy way to
bide time until the next DMB release.
