This super-pairing could have been a best-of-both-worlds coup: The St. Louis-born Ali has spent years as one of Nelly's fun-loving sidekicks, while Gipp is a longtime OutKast pal and a member of pioneering Atlanta group Goodie Mob. Yet neither Ali nor Gipp has even a fraction of their more famous associates' charisma. Competent though clichéd lyricists, they frequently rap as if they're on the verge of dozing off — and given the flat, uninspired production that dominates their Kinfolk, it's hard to blame them. C
