+ Jessica Alba is joining Mike Myers in The Love Guru as the owner of a
Toronto hockey team who hires the titular love doc (Myers) to help her
star player out of a slump. ''She's a fan of the guru: She's read his
books and is all googly over him,'' says Alba. But what could have
possibly attracted the 26-year-old to this wacky Bollywood-esque satire?
''Are you kidding? Mike Myers.'' The comedian is also co-writing the film,
which features his first original character since Austin Powers. Yeah,
baby!
+ Chris Noth is absof---ing-lutely reprising his role as Mr. Big in the film adaptation of Sex and the City; no word on whether Big is still a commitment-phobe. Shooting begins in September.

+ Criminal Minds update: Joe Mantegna (The Starter Wife) is set to
replace Mandy Patinkin, who left the serial-killer drama in July.
Mantegna, 59, will make his debut as FBI Special Agent David Rossi in
this season's fifth episode.
