Gynecologist Sullivan Travis (Richard Gere) knows women. He has to they're everywhere: dozens of patients, three nieces, two daughters, a sister-in-law, and a wife who is slowly going insane (Farrah Fawcett). A satirical look at Texas socialites, Dr. T and the Women showcases Robert Altman's famed agility with ensemble casts, yet stumbles in its too-loose approach to storytelling.
