Up From the Ashes

Christina Ricci may be wondering if the curse on her character in the fantastical Penelope extends to the film itself. Wrapped in spring 2006, the movie — about a woman with a piglike schnoz — was due out in April 2007, got bumped to August, and has now dropped off the schedule. Reps for Reese Witherspoon's production company, Type A, say that with original distributor IFC no longer in the picture, the release has been delayed, but there's no official word on how long.
