Between taping a reality show (VH1's The Rock Life) and fending off paparazzi (vocalist Cisco Adler has dated Mischa Barton and Paris Hilton), it's a wonder this L.A. band had time to record their second CD, Fillith Tillith. After hearing Whitestarr's bloated attempt at bar-rock glory, though, you'll wonder why they even bothered. (Sample lyric: ''She thinks that I'm a crackpot/Now, baby, watch me hit her jackpot.'') Can these guys skip straight to the ''acrimonious breakup'' phase of their rock life span already? D+
