CONCEPT Four guys — Jerry O'Connell, Fred Goss, Jerry Minor, and Tim Peper — bond as they commute to work, in a comedy from Kids in the Hall star Bruce McCulloch.

THE SCOOP Enthuses O'Connell (Crossing Jordan) of his character, Laird: ''He's a playboy dentist! You know what, I'll gladly admit there's a little bit of me in him. I think there's a little bit of him in all guys.'' McCulloch gunned for O'Connell, despite the actor's limited comedy experience (we don't count Kangaroo Jack). ''I met him years ago, and he's the guy who comes in and remembers the name of your grandmother. There's such a sparkle in his eye, and he's really funny. It's almost like he was a stock I got at a bargain.''

BOTTOM LINE Quirky but not as absurd as Kids in the Hall — and cultists shouldn't expect to see McCulloch on screen: ''I've lost my looks to the bottle and you can print that,'' he laughs.
