The highlights of the shoot? There were quite a few this week. Bianca's take on oil proved that her ugly personality wasn't the only thing that left with her $25 weave; the slightly overweight Sarah made garbage bags fierce; and Jenah brought new dimensions to cardboard. Heather's attempt to avoid profile shots while emulating aluminum cans paid off with a stunning frontal photo; Chantal delivered her shredded-paper-inspired shot while half covered by her hair; and Saleisha worked some retreads (tires) to confirm she isn't merely catalog fare.

As for the clunkers, newspaper failed to inspire Ambreal (has she not seen All the President's Men?), Lisa brought the stripper back in her attempt to channel plastic bottles, and Ebony managed to bring down the most fun recyclable out there: bubble wrap.

Though the episode's celebrity appearances were quite a surprise, the shocker of the evening was reserved for the finale, when Ebony quit. For the second time in the show's history — Cassandra in cycle 5 was the first — a contestant walked away from her chance to become America's...Next...Top...Model — not like we didn't see it coming. The last time anyone was this nonchalant about the competition, Tiffany back in cycle 4, Tyra got so angry her popping blood vessels almost blew that heinous red weave off her head. (Don't make Tyra angry. You won't like Tyra when Tyra's angry).

At least Ebony made out better than Tiffany, as Tyra used subtle chastisement instead of full-blown rage. After a brief moment — as uncomfortable as seeing Nigel trying to pull off a joke and a Miss J. Afro wig at the same time — Tyra dismissed Ebony, and the Top Model gods granted Ambreal another chance. Considering the potential that she showed in early episodes, along with her constant refrain that she's really, really trying and she wants this really, really badly, Ambreal could surprise everyone by becoming this season's dark horse.
