Turns out we're all pleasantly surprised the perpetually-on-the-brink KOTH lives to see its 12th season. ''We thought we were going off the air, and then [Fox] desperately needed us,'' recalls exec producer John Altschuler. ''It's always a fun, confusing thing over here.'' Not nearly as fun and confusing as Hank pushing Bobby to be a Powderpuff football cheerleader, or Hank joining a hippie co-op (so he can score choice steaks). But there's still order in Arlen: Tom Petty and Fred Willard return, and Ted Danson plays a car dealer. Sold!
