9:30-10 PM · THE CW · Returns Oct. 1
''This show certainly is about the women behind the men of football,'' says creator Mara Brock Akil of her second-season series, ''and we want to keep that theme, but we've found a lot of [comedy] gold with the guys, too.'' What could be more guy-like than...you guessed it: ''We have a steroids arc. But our spin on it: Jason Pitts [Coby Bell] he's cheap. He's on generic steroids!'' Yeesh. Sounds less funny than dangerous! But wait, there's more: ''Then [Jason's wife] Kelly [Brittany Daniel] has the upper hand, so that's where the comedy comes from in that.'' Oh, that's where the funny is. Plus, Hosea Chanchez's Malik ''is going to make a very stupid comment that becomes a media firestorm. Kinda like what Michael Vick is going through right now.'' The Game's new motto? No catfights, just dogfights!
