They speak in oddly incomplete yet articulate sentences; they have blogs and hobbies and, on occasion, real jobs. Beyond that, what defines the slacker-geek twentysomething men and women who wander through Joe Swanberg's too-hip-to-be-romantic comedy Hannah Takes the Stairsis that they treat their libidos as minor accessories only to stammer through every casual conversation as if they were on a first Internet date. Hannah (Greta Gerwig), the peroxided heroine, leaps from one hookup to the next, but is she searching for passion or just treading water? In the new generational film movement that's been dubbed ''Mumblecore,'' it's often hard to tell the difference. B-
