A sturdy and enjoyable remake of the 1957 minor classic. There's a lot of hot-lead gunfire, but the real duel is the psychological one between outlaw Ben Wade (Russell Crowe), a bow-lipped Nietzschean in a black vest, and Dan Evans (Christian Bale), the self-doubting family man who joins a posse to help deposit Wade on the 3:10 train to Yuma prison.
