The cheeky monkeys of Simian Mobile Disco (a.k.a. British producers James Ford and Jas Shaw, formerly of the indie-rock band Simian) are perhaps most recognized for remixing artists like Air, Muse, and the Go! Team. For their own tunes, they mine the fertile genre of electro for indie kids (see also: Justice, LCD Soundsystem), regurgitating retro synths and hi-NRG vocal loops that are palatable to guitar-oriented consumers. Accordingly, Attack Decay Sustain Release supplies nothing too complicated or heady, just primal party fun. B
