Now and Forever (2007)

EW's GRADE
B+

Details Release Date: Sep 04, 2007; Writer: Ray Bradbury; Genres: Fiction, Sci-fi and Fantasy; Publisher: William Morrow

Now and Forever offers two long-gestating novellas from the master: a fable about a desert town populated by immortals (''Somewhere a Band Is Playing'') and a futuristic take on Melville's Moby-Dick set on a starship (''Leviathan '99'').

For Fans of... The most mystical vignettes tattooed on Bradbury's Illustrated Man; particularly philosophical episodes of The Twilight Zone.

Bottom LineBradbury's characters are frustratingly vague, but his prose remains transcendent. B+
