In Life of Jesus twenty-year-old epileptic Freddy (Douche) and buddies spend their free time zooming around on motorbikes; from time to time Freddy and his girlfriend, Marie (Cottreel), get together and have sex. Their lives sputter along dreary, monotonous, oddly hopeful until an Arab boy (Kader Chaatouf) makes a move on Marie, igniting racism, resentment, and destruction. Novice French writer-director Bruno Dumont raked in film-fest accolades for this oblique, Euro-bleak tale that's as far from Hollywood in spirit as it is in location B
