In season 1 of Brothers & Sisters, prime time's most put-upon family, the Walkers, face death, infidelity, addiction, infertility, therapy, incarceration, and Republicans. No wonder they drink so much. EXTRASThere's no sign of the unaired pre-Sally Field pilot; still, four episode commentaries and a making-of are informative (Calista Flockhart's character, a right-wing pundit, was originally a cupcake baker) and comical (a montage salutes all the wine-sipping, beer-swilling, margarita-guzzling moments). B+
