'Heroes' Report Card: We Grade All 23 Episodes

CHAPTER TWO: DON'T LOOK BACK

Plot Nathan admits that he can fly, while Mohinder digs deeper into the mysterious work of his father and the conspiracy that had him murdered. Meanwhile, Hiro realizes his exploits are the subject of Isaac's ''9th Wonders'' comic book (only to end up framed for his murder) and Niki cleans up the bodies of two mafia thugs she's killed. Across the country, a pudgy L.A. cop seems to be able to read minds and for the very first time we hear the name ''Sylar.''

Best Moment Hiro arrives in Times Square and — in what would become a signature series moment — thrusts his arms to the sky and screams: ''HEEEEELLLLLLOOOO NEEEEWWWW YORRRRK!''

Critique An exercise in delicious confusion; a soup of clues and with no real answers. A- —Dan Fierman
