CHAPTER 23: HOW TO STOP AN EXPLODING MAN

Plot And here we are, at the finale. The good guys know where Sylar is, the bad guy is hassling sidekicks, and Peter Petrelli is lying on the ground having weirdo delusions about his mother being old friends with Shaft. But all is set right in Kirby Plaza, where Peter and Hiro finally face off with Sylar and emerge victorious. The aftermath of that battle finds Peter a nuclear skyrocket in flight, Parkman in critical condition, Sylar literally down the drain, and Hiro lost in feudal Japan.

Best Moment Nathan swoops in to the rescue, to save his brother and avert the disaster he worked so hard to enable.

Critique This is what we were waiting for? A whole season, we've been building to this climactic fight between Peter and Sylar, and they exchange a couple of quick punches? Hiro learned to be a master swordsman so he could easily run Sylar through? All foreplay and no fireworks. C+ —Marc Bernardin
