If this triumph-of-the-underdog saga were any more wholesome, it could be its own food group. Loosely based on the Elisabeth Shues' story, the film follows a teen jock (Carly Schroeder) coping with her brother's death by trying to hack it on an all-boy soccer team. Since we've already seen girls bend it like Beckham, there's little here to justify another slog through the Gatorade-swilling, sweat-stained workouts leading up to the Big Moment in the Big Game. EXTRAS A making-of features fascinating home movies of the soccer-crazed Shue family. B-
