ANGELA KINSEY
(Angela Martin)
On realizing her fame:
We're getting recognized in odd places. Like a Circuit City in Thousand Oaks. Why was I in Thousand Oaks? Why was I in Circuit City? Maybe I was on a road trip and I had to pee. Obviously, I was in dire straits. Because I don't know what's up with the state of California, but they don't tell you where food is on the highway, or gas. California, you are on your own. So Labor Day weekend, I'm like, ''Okay, gotta pee, we're heading up to Santa Barbara how about that Circuit City?'' It was like in the middle of nowhere. I don't even know where we were. And we walk in and we're like, ''Aw, who has to work Labor Day weekend at Circuit City?'' And it's like really not a lot of people in there, and then these people are like, ''OH MY GOD WE LOVE THE OFFICE!'' And it's like, ''Thanks. Do you know where the bathroom is?'' So yes. I don't know why that moment crystallized it for me. But peeing in Circuit City.
On Angela and Dwight:
I think Angela's a little bit of a puppet master. I do. I don't think she's manipulative like, I don't think she means to control him, I just think the nature of their relationship is that she kind of wears the pants. But it's interesting to me because just when I think that she's got him right around her little finger, he'll do something. Like, remember when he thought he was gonna be the boss, and Angela was like, ''So I get to be your number two?'' And he was like, ''No. But you can be in charge of the women.'' They have this weird status game that goes back and forth between the two of them. But it makes sense to me, 'cause they both crave power and control, and so it's whoever has it at the moment. And I think he has it at the moment.
