This Atlanta quartet's 2005 debut was most notable for the magnetic personality of de facto frontman Young Jeezy... who soon went solo. Boyz N Da Hood's sophomore set has no shortage of replacements, including new member Gorilla Zoe, who raps in a gravelly, commanding baritone. Guest stars from Ice Cube to T-Pain keep the proceedings loose and lively. Yet Back Up N Da Chevy's energy comes to a halt whenever the three original Boyz get started on another yawn-worthy yarn about sex, drugs, and gunplay. B-
