honeyed melodies over an infectious dancehall riddim. On Foreva, the Jamaican singer blandly attempts to reclaim that crossover appeal with tunes like
''For My Love,'' a run-of-the-mill reggae-rap collaboration with Trina.
His vocals ultimately find a more natural frequency on subtler
strings-and-synths offerings (''Love and Affection'') not to mention a
host of randier paeans to romance (''Take It Off,'' ''Exposed'') that still
manage to evoke a sweetness often lacking in R&B. B
