At 25, LeAnn Rimes looks at her checkered past like her much-publicized
squabble with her manager dad and decides blood is thicker than water.
Smart move. Family values are bankable in shoring up a country career,
as is inviting Reba McEntire and Bon Jovi for tracks. Throughout Family, Rimes
displays new maturity in songwriting (check out the Southern gothic
title tune), though too often she lapses into posturing power pop. She's
best on the greasy blues of ''Nothing Wrong,'' a libidinal romp with Marc
Broussard. Guess little girls really do grow up. B
