Eyes on the Prize, Al
In February, Al Gore's global-warming doc An Inconvenient Truth won an Oscar. How to top that? Three words: Nobel Peace Prize. Last week the Oslo committee honored the former VP for his work on climate change. (Gore's trophy case sure is getting crowded: His Current TV cable network won an Emmy last month.) ''The remarkable thing is that he's been so successful communicating the issue,'' says Truth director Davis Guggenheim. ''That's the real achievement — how he's reframed it as not just an environmental issue, but a moral one.'' So, any chance Gore would ever sign on for a sequel? Says Guggenheim: ''All of us who made it are talking about it — yeah.'' — Gregory Kirschling
