Shock jock Don Imus, 67, is reportedly close to signing with WABC radio
in NYC to launch a morning show on Dec. 3. Imus was fired last spring
from CBS Radio and MSNBC for offensive remarks about female basketball

Comedian Jimmy Kimmel, 39, will sub for Regis Philbin, 76, on Live With Regis and Kelly during Philbin's Oct. 22 -- 29 vacation. Kimmel will commute daily between Jimmy Kimmel Live in L.A. and Regis and Kelly in NYC.

After an unreported collision with a parked car on Aug. 6, Britney
Spears, 25, voluntarily came to an L.A. police station on Oct. 15. She
was fingerprinted and photographed before leaving and is scheduled to be
arraigned Oct. 25 in Van Nuys, Calif., for the hit-and-run and for
driving without a valid license. Her reps did not return calls for
comment.... On Oct. 11 in L.A., blogger Perez Hilton (né Mario
Lavandeira), 29, was sued by Zomba Recording LLC, which owns rights to
Spears' music, for copyright infringement. Zomba says Hilton illegally
obtained and posted some 10 songs and demos from Spears' upcoming
Blackout. The suit came just after her label, Jive, bumped up Blackout's
release to Oct. 30 owing to online leaks. Hilton will mount ''a vigorous
defense,'' said a rep.... An L.A. judge ordered Lost actress Michelle
Rodriguez, 29, to report to jail Dec. 24 to begin a six-month sentence.
Rodriguez violated probation, stemming from a 2006 DUI, by consuming
alcohol while wearing a monitor and failing to provide proof of
community service.... On Oct. 11, actor Jude Law (Sleuth), 34, was
cleared of involvement in an attack on a photographer outside his London
home. ''I am delighted to be vindicated,'' Law said in a statement.... One
week after teen star Miley Cyrus' Hannah Montana tour sold out in mere minutes, a judge issued an injunction against RMG Technologies, whose
programs allegedly give scalpers an unfair advantage over consumers in
buying tickets from online retailer Ticketmaster. ''We're definitely
fighting this,'' said RMG's rep.

Actress Carol Bruce (née Shirley Levy), 87, best known as WKRP in
Cincinnati's Mama Carlson, of obstructive pulmonary disease, Oct. 9, in

Grammy winner T.I. arrested in Atlanta
Justin Timberlake collaborator T.I. (''My Love''), 27, is facing up to 20
years in prison. On Oct. 13, the rapper (né lifford Harris) was
arrested for allegedly buying weapons in a sting. Police say they also
found guns in his car and home, and have charged him with possession of
unregistered machine guns and possession of firearms by a convicted
felon; a bond hearing is slated for Oct. 19. ''Everyone is innocent until
proven guilty,'' said his lawyer. He was collared the day of the BET
Hip-Hop Awards, where his T.I. vs. T.I.P. won CD of the Year. Margeaux Watson

In February, Al Gore's global-warming doc An Inconvenient Truth won an

Oslo committee honored the former VP for his work on climate change.
