Horrorfest creeps back into theaters -- All about this year's creepy festival

Do you like comedies? Or dramas? Or not having the hell scared out of you? Then avoid the more than 350 theater screens hosting Horrorfest for 10 days starting Nov. 9. The annual festival — which started last year — consists of eight new ''Films To Die For,'' including The Deaths of Ian Stone (a horror Groundhog Day) and cannibal epic Tooth and Nail. A question: Why in the name of all that is bloody and oozing isn't Horrorfest on Halloween? ''When I came up with the idea I wanted to do it then,'' says organizer Courtney Solomon. ''But our partner studio puts out Saw every Halloween. It's a slightly popular franchise.'' It seems there's something scarier than a hungry-for-brains zombie: film-biz politics.
