LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
(LucasArts; Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and DS; Everyone)
Any conversation about life’s irresistible combinations the crafty conjoinings behind turducken, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and Schnoodle dogs, to name a few must now include LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, which combines the first two LEGO Star Wars games to form one massive Death Star-size adventure that spans all six movies in the bajillion-dollar-grossing series.
For people who have already invested in the first two games (each built around one of the trilogies), the Complete Saga may seem redundant: you still guide those lovable (and mute) doppelgangers of your favorite Star Wars characters across worlds constructed entirely out of LEGO bricks. There are a few new and redesigned levels, though, and the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions now have a slick online co-op mode that lets you play out the entire adventure with friends, in pairs that would seemingly shatter the space-time continuum (imagine playing as the prequel’s Anakin Skywalker while your buddy fights alongside as the original trilogy’s Darth Vader). Accuse The Complete Saga of triple-dipping and beating a dead tauntaun all you want. You’ll still need Jedi-like discipline to say ''no'' to a third helping of LEGO Star Wars. A- Gary Eng Walk
