HONORED
Rumer Willis, 19, daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, has been
named Miss Golden Globe 2008. She will distribute trophies at the
ceremony, airing Jan. 13 on NBC.
POSTPONED
The '08 release of Angels & Demons, a prequel to The Da Vinci Code, has
been delayed due to the writers' strike. The Tom Hanks film is now
slated for '09.
COURTS
Actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers, 30, was arrested at Dublin International
Airport for alleged public intoxication on Nov. 18. The Tudors star will
appear in court on Dec. 5. His reps did not return calls for comment....
On Nov. 15, Lindsay Lohan, 21, served 84 minutes at an L.A. jail as part
of her sentence for recent cocaine and DUI charges. The actress, on
probation through 2010, must also complete 10 days of community service
and 18 months of alcohol education. Lohan's reps did not return calls
for comment.... On Nov. 15, the agency that arranged the 2005 adoption
of Angelina Jolie's Ethiopian-born daughter, Zahara, now 2, refuted the
claims of a woman who identified herself as the child's biological
mother. According to the agency, records show that Zahara's mother is
deceased, and Jolie's adoption is therefore valid.... The Red Hot Chili
Peppers sued Showtime Networks for unspecified damages on Nov. 19 in
L.A. The band claims the show Californication appropriated the name of
its 1999 album. The suit also notes that the series features a character
called ''Dani California,'' the title of one of the CD's tracks.

LEGACY: Dick Wilson (1916-2007)
The British-born pitchman a.k.a. Charmin's wily grocer Mr.
Whipple died Nov. 18 in Woodland Hills, Calif., of natural causes.
Wilson starred in 500-plus commercials, admonishing female shoppers not
to ''squeeze the Charmin'' before copping a feel of the TP himself. A '75
poll named him the second-most-recognizable person in the U.S., after
