Ben Kinglsey has joined Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo in the Martin Scorsese-directed Paramount drama Shutter Island. The story, adapted from Dennis Lehane's 2004 novel, is about a U.S. marshal (Ruffalo) who travels to a Massachusetts island with his new partner (DiCaprio) to investigate the disappearance of a patient from a hospital for the criminally insane. Once there, they are hit by a hurricane and get trapped in a deadly inmate riot that prevents them from leaving the island. Kingsley will play the hospital's enigmatic chief physician, who reluctantly plays host to the two marshals. Shooting is scheduled to start in March. Kingsley is currently filming Paramount's Mike Myers comedy The Love Guru, which also stars Jessica Alba. (Hollywood Reporter)
