Stanley Tucci is in negotiations to star opposite Meryl Streep in Columbia Pictures' Nora Ephron-directed Julie & Julia. Amy Adams also stars. The story is about a frustrated temp secretary (Adams) who embarks on a yearlong quest to cook all 524 recipes in Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Streep plays Child and Tucci is set to play her husband. Ephron adapted the screenplay from Julie Powell's book Julie and Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen. Shooting is scheduled to start in March. Tucci previously starred with Streep in The Devil Loves Prada. His other recent credits include NBC's ER, Lasse Hallstrom's The Hoax, and Lucky Number Slevin.
