19. Battlestar Galactica
galacticasitrep.blogspot.com
Launch Date December 2005
What You'll Find What started as the home of an adorably homegrown BSG news podcast has morphed into a blog that serves as a catchall compendium of everything Battlestar to be found on the Web from mini-essays on why it's one of the most game-changing sci-fi TV series of all time to links for reviews (including EW's, naturally) of the recent two-hour Razor special episode.
Why It's Essential The people who run it are frakkin' serious about their fandom, and they're not afraid to take a lackluster episode to task. Over the last few months, the site has also covered the writers' strike as much as (if not more than) it has the human/Cylon war.
Official Site scifi.com/battlestar
Sci Fi Channel's out-of-this world site features videos of the stars answering fan questions, a blog by showrunner Ron Moore, and links to fascinating podcasts by Moore and much of his team. Adam B. Vary
