This generic gang-war film is like three impressive music videos in search of a movie which means most of it is superfluous. The aptly named director, Hype Williams, and cinematographer Malik Hassan Sayeed (Clockers) pile on the slow-mo shots and canted angles in Belly, but nothing in the film intrigues. D
