It's rare that a book can provide snickers and shivers at the same time, but Tim Dorsey's gut-busting 10th novel about psychopathic vigilante Serge Storms a man who can kill while dispensing trivia about the Queen Mary delivers both. This time, Serge murders the enemies of a nonconfrontational suburban man who once saved his life. Serge's methods are so twisted, it's surprising the Saw franchise didn't think of them first. And Dorsey's offbeat characters a lawbreaking nonagenarian, a coked-out stripper, and an oddly virginal ladies' man provide the right amount of quirk. Is Atomic Lobster cerebral? Not quite. But it's wickedly fun. A-
