Multiple Grammy nominee Amy Winehouse was arrested in London on Monday in connection with an alleged plot to derail a criminal case against her husband, People and The Associated Press report. A rep for Winehouse said the singer who has since been released from custody but was ordered to return to a London police station in early March went in voluntarily to be interviewed and was arrested before questioning, ''as is common practice in the U.K.''
Winehouse's arrest is connected to charges against her currently incarcerated husband, Blake Fielder-Civil; he is accused of attempting to interfere with witness testimony in his upcoming trial for allegedly assaulting a barman in June. This is the latest in a string of troubles for the 24-year-old Back to Black singer she recently canceled all her concerts and appearances through the rest of the year on doctor's orders.
