(FROM HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) – Ellen DeGeneres topped the Harris Poll's list of favorite TV personalities, ousting Oprah Winfrey, who claimed the top spot the previous five years. DeGeneres jumped to No. 1 after placing eighth last year. Winfrey dropped to second place. Jay Leno, Hugh Laurie, and Jon Stewart rounded out the top five. DeGeneres grabbed headlines in 2007 when she made a tearful plea on her daytime talk show over an adopted puppy that was taken back by an animal rescue group after she gave it away to her hairstylist's family.
