F. Scott Fitzgerald famously said that there are no second acts in American lives, but then again, he never met Tiffany. The copper-haired '80s teen-pop phenom, now 36 and most recently seen in a 2007 stint on VH1's Celebrity Fit Club, has resurfaced for what is, by our count, at least her sixth act. Aside from writing original songs for shows like Ugly Betty and One Tree Hill, she's slated to appear in two upcoming films — and not just in stunt cameos. She stars as Barbara — ''a Samantha from Sex and the City type'' — in the short film The Isolationist and is filming the thriller Necrosis opposite James Kyson Lee (Heroes) and George Stults (7th Heaven). But we're most intrigued by I Think We're Alone Now, a documentary about two Tiffany stalkers premiering this month at Utah's Slamdance Film Festival. Just don't count on her to show up at the premiere. ''I didn't authorize it,'' she says. ''I don't think it's good to make fun of those situations.'' Instead, she's just happy to be working steadily again, even if she does now answer to the decidedly more grown-up name of Tiffany George. ''Though, come on,'' she adds with a laugh, ''I'm still just Tiffany.'' That's right. Hold back that last name — you'll need something for Act 7.
