Start spreadin' the news: Chan Marshall does a mean Sinatra. A sultry take on ''New York, New York'' might be the biggest surprise on Marshall's second covers disc, Jukebox which also successfully grafts the Memphis-soul verve of her 2006 album of originals, The Greatest, onto tunes from James Brown, Joni Mitchell, Janis Joplin, and gospel-era Bob Dylan. Best of all is Marshall's redo of her own ''Metal Heart,'' a hushed fugue from '98 that's been spurred into full bloom as a fiery rocker. B+
