David Mamet taps into his inner Aaron Sorkin — and, oddly, Neil Simon — with November, a breathless onslaught of profane political satire and whiz-bang sitcom shtick. With incessant one-liners, obvious stereotypes (must the lesbian speechwriter wear clogs, shop at Whole Foods, and do yoga?), and poultry-centric subplot (exploding turkeys!), November goes, dare we say, over the top. But Nathan Lane is enormously winning as an about-to-be-ousted U.S. president who's ''f---ed the country into a cocked hat.''
