Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks

Stephen Malkmus, the erudite ex-frontman of '90s indie-rock gods Pavement, returns with a leadoff track from his upcoming album, Real Emotional Trash (due March 4). The only guy with the ability to get away with a deadpan read on lines like ''I feel like a nympho/Stuck in a cloister'' also has a new Jick on the regular roster — former Sleater-Kinney drummer Janet Weiss!
