(FROM VARIETY) – Hayden Panettiere will star in the teenage comedy Daydream Nation, which Michael Goldbach will direct from his own script. Kieran Culkin (Igby Goes Down) is in talks to play her oblivious boyfriend. Production is scheduled to start later this year on a budget of around $10 million. Pannetierre stars as Claire Bennet on Heroes. Her upcoming feature projects include Dennis Lee's Fireflies in the Garden and the movie adaptation of Larry Doyle's novel I Love You, Beth Cooper.
