(FROM HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) – Michael Douglas, Amber Tamblyn, and Desperate Housewives' Jesse Metcalfe have joined the cast of Beyond a Reasonable Doubt, director Peter Haynes' remake of Fritz Lang's 1956 film noir. The story is about a journalist (Metcalfe) looking to take down a corrupt district attorney (Douglas) by setting himself up as a suspect in a murder he didn't commit. His plan backfires when the D.A. uncovers the scheme and gets rid of the evidence the journalist has amassed to prove his innocence, making him look like he did, in fact, commit the murder. Shooting is scheduled to begin next month. Douglas was most recently seen in King of California. Tamblyn recently wrapped The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. Metcalfe next appears in Joel Shumacher's horror thriller Town Creek. (Hollywood Reporter)
