Burt Reynolds Starring in U.K. Comedy

(FROM HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) – Burt Reynolds has signed on to star in the British comedy feature A Bunch of Amateurs,, which is being directed by U.S. comedy director Andy Cadiff (The War at Home, Spin City). Reynolds will star as a washed up Hollywood action hero, desperate to revive his career, who moves to the U.K. for what he thinks is a prestigious role in a Royal Shakespeare Company production. Once he gets there, he learns that he has actually committed to star as King Lear for an amateur dramatics group. Reynolds joins a cast that includes Imelda Staunton (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix), Derek Jacobi (Gladiator), and Samantha Bond (Die Another Day). (Hollywood Reporter)
