Things that are jarring: Watching cult hero Campbell (Evil Dead) talking to a Volkswagen. Seeing affable Scotsman John Hannah (The Mummy) play a conniving race-car champ. And then there's the Micky Dolenz cameo. Even with the benefit of a game cast, this made-for-TV movie — the fifth entry in the Love Bug series — is as goofily plastic as the new VW Beetles. C+
