Yasmina Reza's dazzlingly quick and funny international hit Art — the award-winning import, translated by Christopher Hampton from the original French version — triangulates three urbane men whose argument about the merits of an all-white abstract painting escalates into a personal critique that threatens their friendships. The pitch-perfect cast (Alan Alda, Victor Garber, and a showstopping Alfred Molina) demonstrates stage acting at its most pleasurable.
