(FROM VARIETY) – Sunday's (Feb. 17) two-hour Knight Rider TV movie on NBC attracted 12.7 million viewers and earned a 5.0 rating/12 share in adults 18-49, making it likely that it will be taken to series this fall. Those are the best numbers for a TV movie (original or broadcast of a theatrical release) since ABC's Their Eyes Were Watching God in March 2005. The remake of the 1980s series, which starred David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight, a Vietnam vet/former cop who took on missions behind the wheel of KITT the talking super-car, stars Justin Bruening (All My Children) as Knight's son, the cynical young Mike Tracer. Val Kilmer voiced Tracer's KITT, and Hasshelhoff made a cameo appearance as Knight. (Variety)
