Grammer Playing Scrooge in 'Carol' Satire

(FROM VARIETY) – Kelsey Grammer will play Ebenezer Scrooge in the indie satire An American Carol, directed by David Zucker (Scary Movie 4). The actor will play a modern-day version of the character he previously portrayed in 2004's NBC-Hallmark version of A Christmas Carol. Production is scheduled to start Feb. 28. Grammer will work on the project while also shooting the Fox sitcom Back to You. This summer, he will move on to Disney's Swing Vote. (Variety)
