D'ANGELO ''Untitled (How Does It Feel)''
With his head bowed, D'Angelo eyes his naked lower body with obsessive wonder. His torso sways in grinding rhythm, tensing and releasing as his mouth curls in pleasure and his eyebrows narrow to measure an ecstatic contraction. That's just one jaw-dropping interpretation of what's going on here. In fact, the clip consists of nothing but close-ups of D'Angelo's buff body on the apparent receiving end of one of life's great payoffs. It's a measure of the video's smarm-free joy that even though the camera puts the viewer in the pleasure-giving position, we feel in no way manipulated or debased. Instead, it feels like a privilege to be part of such a comfortable act of carnality. Was it good for you, too? A

LIT ''Miserable''
Ah! That age-old woman-as-man-eater fear rears its head again in Lit's new clip. It depicts the band members as shrimps in the presence of Pamela Anderson Lee, who towers over them like Gulliver. First, the guys feign mastery by playing their instruments precariously on her rear, in her ear, and atop a spike heel, only to end up devoured. Given the crisp photography and ace special effects, however, male anxiety never looked so cool. B

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE ''Sleep Now in the Fire''
Leave it to the party poopers in Rage to turn a guilty little pleasure like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire into a lumbering lecture on greed. In their new video, Rage depict an installment of the hit show wherein some Reege wannabe quizzes folks about health care and the distribution of wealth. Imagine the fun you'd have watching that! As part of this ''satire,'' the group contrive to get themselves arrested (in an actual incident) by playing in front of the New York Stock Exchange without a permit. Rage get their wish, of course, ending up in handcuffs — the ultimate fashion accessory for rebellion. C
