McDORMAND, ADAMS
Kerry Brown
Amy Adams plays a bubbly American actress who takes on the frumpy ex-governess Miss Pettigrew (Frances McDormand) as her social secretary, then drags her new hire along on a whirlwind London day during which the ingenue bounces between three different men. Let's just hope the film based on the 1938 novel by Winifred Watson doesn't take that title too literally. (March 7)
