Tyler Perry again adapts material from his own theatrical oeuvre, this time tapping Angela Bassett as a single mom who attempts to bond with eccentric relatives, led by the scene-stealing, loud-dressing Mr. Brown (David Mann) — a recurring Perry character who rivals Madea as a fan favorite. Laughs and tears ensue, as does a Madea cameo. (March 21)
