Dwayne Johnson Is the 'Tooth Fairy'

(FROM VARIETY) – Continuing his string of family-friendly fare, Dwayne Johnson will star as the title character in 20th Century Fox's comedy The Tooth Fairy, about an ordinary man who tries to save the fairy's kingdom. The movie is being directed by Michael Lembeck, who helmed the second and third installments of The Santa Clause. Production is scheduled to start in August. Johnson is currently working on Disney's Race to Witch Mountain, which is slated to release in March 2009, and he will next be seen starring opposite Steve Carell in Warner Bros.' Get Smart, which releases this summer. (Variety)
