actor-singers' twins arrived Feb. 22.... Law & Order: Criminal Intent actor Vincent D'Onofrio, 47, and ex-model Carin Van Der Donk have opened
a new case: Their second son, Luka, was born on Feb. 14 in NYC.
ADDITIONS
Actors Brad Pitt, 44, and Angelina Jolie, 32, reportedly finalized their adoption of son Pax Thien, 4, on Feb. 20 in an L.A. court. Meanwhile,
according to People.com, Jolie is pregnant with the couple's fifth child.
COURTS
On Feb. 18, Will Smith, 39, settled his suit against World Entertainment
News Networks, which falsely claimed the actor called Adolf Hitler ''a
good person'' in an interview. The U.K.-based wire service apologized to
Smith in a London court and paid him undisclosed damages. Smith donated
the money to his charity for inner-city youth.... Ne-Yo (né Shaffer
Smith), 28, was arrested on Feb. 19 in Atlanta for allegedly driving
over 100 mph and without a license. The R&B singer is due in court March
25.... Teen-pop singer Aaron Carter, 20, was arrested on
marijuana-possession charges on Feb. 20 after being pulled over while
allegedly speeding in Junction, Tex. His publicist did not return calls
for comment.... On Feb. 20 in L.A., Lindsay Lohan, 21, settled a suit
filed by Raymundo Ortega, who claimed the actress crashed her
Mercedes-Benz into his van in October 2005 while she was intoxicated.
The terms of the settlement were confidential.
DEATHS
Literature professor-turned-stage actor Dennis Letts, 73, of lung
cancer, Feb. 22, in Tulsa. Letts was starring on Broadway in his son
Tracy Letts' August: Osage County up until his final days. ''Dad had a
full and fascinating life,'' the younger Letts said in a statement, ''and August: Osage County was the cherry on top.''... Ben Chapman, 79, one of
two actors who played the monster in 1954's Creature From the Black
Lagoon, of heart failure, Feb. 21, in Honolulu.... Larry Norman, 60, a
Christian-rock pioneer who influenced everyone from Bob Dylan to the
Pixies, of heart failure, Feb. 24, in Salem, Ore. ''Larry was my door
into the music business, and he was the most Christlike person I ever

I SCREAM, YOU SCREAM
Here's an idea for a scary Wes Craven flick: A horrible landslide, a few
gardeners, and...a star of Bio-Dome? Unfortunately, it's true to life. Craven, 68, and Pauly Shore, 40 neighbors in the Hollywood
Hills section of L.A. can't seem to agree on who caused an '06 landslide
that damaged their homes. After the horror auteur sued him last year,
Shore fired back on Feb. 11, claiming the blame lies with Craven's
